Later, they offered practical support to clients by driving them to their appointment, covering hotel rooms for overnight stays, and helping pay for gas for those who traveled. At APAC, they also educated the public around reproductive rights through outreach at public events. After APAC, Hudson worked at Feminist Women's Health Service as a counselor and client intake coordinator. In addition, she helped coordinate lobbying efforts around reproductive rights issues as a Board of Directors member of Georgians for Choice. She also stepped in to serve as the Project Coordinator and Acting Director. Hudson was awarded the first "Margie Pitts Hames Advocacy" Award presented by GARAL (Georgia Abortion & Reproductive Rights Action League) in 1995.
